42 North Brewing and Community Beer Works have teamed up for their first canned collaboration, 25 Minutes Or Less IPA with Brett. Through a “virtual collab”, Ethan Cox and 42 North Head Brewer Matt Matuszewski created a 6.7% ABV, brett-fermented IPA featuring notes of overripe Tropical fruit, a dank hop nose, pineapple, overripe mango, and star fruit flavors.

25 Minutes Or Less, inspired by the time it takes to get to Community Beer Works from 42 North Brewing and “the time it takes to basically get anywhere in Buffalo… and also to order a pizza,” features Sabro, Belma & Centennial hops while the Brett echos and enhances the natural tropical and pineapple flavors of the hops.

“The beer will start off a little more tropical and “pineapply-brett” and as it goes through its life and phases the beer will become a little more funky,” says Head Brewer Matt Matuszewski. The IPA was brewed in East Aurora, NY at 42 North Brewing which is also home to Buffalo’s first barrel-house, 42 Below, which specializes in wild fermentation and barrel-aged sours. “25 Minutes Or Less is a fun combination of the mainstream IPA world and the barrel-house world,” adds Matuszewski.
